Adriana Chechik, who made headlines earlier this month after she broke her back in two places at TwitchConshe’s back on stream with some updates and a closer look at how her recovery went.

If you didn’t see the incident, Chechik broke her back at TwitchCon after jumping into a foam pit, a seemingly harmless move that, thanks to the pit’s reported shallowness, led her to smashing the coccyx on the floor so hard that his “bones have completely squeezed”, fusing multiple verterbrae together and suffering “nerve damage to [her] Urinary bladder”.

His healing process was coarse. Here is what he wrote on October 13 after a physiotherapy session:

I tried to sit in PT today, I’d rather die than do it again. I hate it my whole body hates it. I don’t want to be hard. I don’t want to be brave, I’ve been crying for an hour and the pain is so immense from all the meds I’ve taken. I don’t know if I can do it. I can’t explain this pain.

Chechik, now home after several surgeries, one lasting over five hours, returned to Twitch over the weekend to provide more updates on the injury, its aftermath, and how she is doing weeks after the accident.

In this clip, Chechik mentions how she is still out of breath while doing even the simplest daily activities, before showing a huge scar running down the middle of her back:

Later, while playing, she says tests conducted on her while she was in the hospital revealed that she was unknowingly pregnant at the time of the injury, but that she later lost the baby due to the surgery required on her spine:

As a result of this and other injuries sustained during the event, neither Twitch (TwitchCon organizers) or Kairos Media (the creative agency currently running the booth) have publicly commented.
