Leeds United could have an interest in Southampton striker Che Adams, Daily Express reporter believes ryan taylor.
The 26-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Elland Road, and Taylor believes he’s the kind of striker who matches Jesse Marsch’s style.
What’s the latest on Adams?
According to The Sun, Leeds are lining up a swoop for Adams this summer as Marsch look to bring in a new No.9.
The newspaper claims the Yorkshire club would like to do business at around £10m, which is £5m less than what Southampton paid Birmingham City for their services in 2019.
Marsch currently doesn’t have too many options up front. The American can call on Patrick Bamford but he spent a lot of time on the sidelines last season due to injury so that will be a concern.
Leeds also have Rodrigo, although you wouldn’t describe him as just a No.9, as the Spain international has often played as a second striker in his career.
The above shows that Los Blancos would really need to bring in a new centre-forward before the transfer window closes.

What did Taylor say about Adams and Leeds?
Taylor believes there is a chance Leeds are indeed interested in Adams and has not ruled out a move, although the Daily Express reporter believes it could be a side step for the 74-goal star.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “I can’t say for sure, but I think he’s a player Leeds are interested in. Obviously they’ve tried to sign him before and he fits that kind of style but, with all due respect, I know Leeds are a huge football club, but it’s a bit of a sideways move from Southampton at the moment – both clubs sort of bottom half.
“That being said, if the interest is real there’s no reason a deal can’t happen, but I can’t really guarantee he’s a target. But I think Leeds have obviously need a striker and he fits the style of play, so it’s realistic.
Would Adams be a good signing for Leeds?
If he arrives as a squad player, Adams could be a good addition to the Leeds squad. The Scotland international has Premier League experience, which other signings for Los Blancos lack this summer, and can provide cover for Bamford or even play alongside them.
“Adams is the one I really like,” Rangers legend Ally McCoist said (via Daily Echo) earlier this year.
“He’s such a smart player. He has a bit of pace and can go behind and he can finish. We [Scotland] someone was missing who could go behind and Adams can do that.
If Leeds can bring Adams to Elland Road for £10million this summer, it could end up being a smart move.
