About Last Night: DMV-Based Fashion Line Hanifa Debuted Its Latest Collection With Another Digital Runway Presentation

Hanifadesigner Anifa Mvuemba’s acclaimed DMV-based fashion line, launched its Spring/Summer 2022 ready-to-wear collection last night with a digital runway presentation on its Youtube channel.

The “Living Out Loud” Collectionwith parts ranging from $169 to $829, features over two dozen looks, available in sizes XS to 3XL, including dresses, two-piece sets, pantsuits and more in bright, neon and jewel colors, both monochrome and color-block . According to the brand, it’s “an expression of joy, celebration and wonder” with “intense colors, feminine shapes. . . . [and] playful silhouettes.

The digital nature of the presentation nods to the innovative and much-loved character of the label. 2020 virtual fashion show, which launched its Pink Label Congo collection.

Last year, the Congolese-American designer hosted the brand’s first in-person show in DC, unveiling Hanifa’s clothes. Fall/Winter 2021 collection at the National Portrait Gallery.
