Armie Hammer Pleaded Guilty to Traffic Offenses After Divorce News

Armie Hammer was cited for traffic violations shortly after his divorce from Elizabeth Chambers hit the headlines in July 2020, We Weekly can confirm.

According to court records, the 34-year-old call me by your name star was pulled over by an officer with the Colorado River Indian Tribes of Arizona Police Department for making an improper right turn and failing to display a rear license plate on his vehicle. Hammer pleaded guilty to the offenses in August 2020. At the time, he did not pay the fines against him for the incident. The court suspended his driver’s license in September 2020, but three months later Hammer paid the full $255 fee.

The Social network star and Chambers, 38, announced via Instagram in July 2020 that they were separating after 10 years of marriage. The estranged couple married in May 2010 and share two children: daughter Harper, 6, and son Ford, 4. Following the announcement of their separation, a source said We exclusively that Hammer and the Bird Bakery owner had “problems in their marriage for quite a while” and had pledged to make their children their “first priority” following their split.

“The decision to part ways was not taken lightly,” the insider added at the time. “They didn’t wake up one day and suddenly decide. …Right now, their biggest concern is their children and the impact of this change on them.

Earlier this month, Hammer found himself in the spotlight again when several women claimed he had sent them graphic sexual messages detailing cannibalism and rape fantasies, which have not been verified. Screenshots of the alleged DMs and a video of his private Instagram account have surfaced on social media, prompting the Rebecca actor to issue a public apology after previously criticizing “vicious and misleading online attacks on” him.

“I sincerely apologize for any confusion my stupid attempt at humor may have caused,” Hammer said in a statement to the Cayman Compass Sunday January 17. “My deepest condolences to Miss Cayman [Mariah Tibbetts]whom I don’t know, and to the whole organization because I had no intention of implying that she was in fact Miss Cayman.

Amid the scandal, the Golden Globe nominee quit the next film shotgun weddingwhich is also featured Jennifer Lopez. As her ex-husband continues to make headlines, a source says We exclusively that Chambers has been “living in a nightmare” and is “purely focused” on her children.

“Elizabeth was horrified and shocked,” the insider said of the recent allegations. “[She] doesn’t even recognize the man she married anymore.
