Armie HammerThe investigation into ‘s alleged rape has been completed and law enforcement is sending their findings to the prosecutor … but we’re told the actor shouldn’t face charges.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the LAPD is forwarding the case to the LA County District Attorney’s Office now that it has completed its investigation, which was launched in March.
We’re told the case isn’t solid and no charges are likely to be brought against Armie. It is unclear whether the reason behind this is a lack of credibility of potential witnesses or a lack of particular evidence supporting the claims. Either way… the DA’s office will have the final say on the case.
As we reported… Armie was accused of rape a woman named Effiewho complained to the police.
Effie went public with her accusations at a press conference, alongside a lawyer Gloria Allred. The alleged rape took place in 2017 – and Effie claims it lasted over 4 hours in what she called a violent incident.
Armie has denied the allegations, saying Effie was sending him dirty texts as recently as 2020… which he says undermines his story. Effie’s claims surfaced amid a bigger scandal Armie has been involved in – where some of his sexual exploits have even been described as cannibalistic.
Some women claimed that Armie took things too far, to the point of feeling violated and/or assaulted. He has vehemently denied all of their accounts, claiming that any sexual encounters he has had were fully consensual.
We contacted the LAPD, who declined to comment as it is an ongoing case.
