Donald Trump Replies to New York Attorney General Letitia James’ Lawsuit on ‘Hannity’

Former President Donald Trump has turned on New York State Attorney General Letitia James, saying instead of targeting him in a massive $250 million fraud lawsuit, she should do more efforts to reduce crime in New York. Appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show for part two of his interview with the conservative commentator, Trump was touting his efforts in his dealings with the Taliban when he quickly turned to crime in America. “In New York, where Letitia James reigns, we have the worst crime we’ve ever had,” Trump said. The Washington Post reported that while “overall violent crime increased by 34%…there were 13% fewer shooting incidents this year than last year” and that “the number of homicides in New York was down 13%, not up. Trump briefly mentioned James’ lawsuit, in which she is suing Trump, three of his adult children and their family real estate company, alleging they overstated Trump’s property. “That’s where Letitia James, she should be focusing on murder and crime in New York where they walk into stores with axes and start swinging the axes at people,” Trump said. “That’s where she should be focusing, not on the value of Mar-a-Lago.”
