The manager has enjoyed an impressive start to his tenure as Manchester United manager
Erik Ten Hag continues to flourish without Cristiano Ronaldo, as he’s guided the Manchester United to fourth place in the Premier League table and six consecutive wins in all competitions.
That means he’s scored the most points after 25 games of any of the last ten Manchester United managers to reach that mark.
After a quarter-century of games he has 18 wins including resounding victories against Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham earlier in the season.
It is a record that cannot be equalled by any of the last 10 United managers who have taken charge of at least 25 games.
Ten Hag has 11 Premier League wins to his name, as well as guiding his side to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and the last 16 of the Europa League.
And gone are the battles and problems that Ronaldo brought to the club.
The greatest manager in Manchester United‘s history won just 12 of his first 25 games.
There is still a long way to go for Ten Hag to match Fergie’s 13 Premier League title triumphs, so he won’t be getting carried away just yet.
But his record is far better than that of last season’s interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, who won ten of his first 25 games in charge.
Ten Hag’s record is also better than that of Jose Mourinho and David Moyes, who both had 14 wins after their first 25 games.
