Casemiro and Fred risk ban vs Arsenal
Erik ten Hag will want Casemiro and Fred to be on their best behaviour when Manchester United take on Crystal Palace this Wednesday night – or they risk missing the impending showdown with table-topping Arsenal.
Casemiro has been one of the club's best players since his arrival in the summer and has been an integral part of their success this season. As well as his acclaimed defensive work, the linchpin has also chipped in with two goals and four assists of his own at the other end.

Fred, meanwhile, has largely been used as a rotation player by Ten Hag, starting just nine of his 23 appearances all season, of which five have come in the Premier League. However, he was named in an EPL line-up for the first time since October against Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime.

United planning contract negotiations
Manchester United are aiming to consolidate their ongoing progress under Erik ten Hag by finalising key contract renewals this year.
United have already opened discussions with David de Gea, who is approaching the final months of his deal, while and Marcus Rashford will be offered improved terms.
Rashford, 25, has scored 16 goals already this season after a dire 2021/2022 term when it emerged he was open to leaving the club after he did not start the Manchester derby in March last year.
