Maguire: We're in a good position – Man Utd

Harry Maguire believes Manchester United are currently in "a good position" as a result of our fine run of form following the mid-season break.
Erik ten Hag’s side have only lost once domestically since our 6-3 defeat against Manchester City back in October and are unbeaten since the winter hiatus.
Our no.5 has featured 15 times so far this campaign and was most recently involved in the big win over our crosstown rivals at Old Trafford, just last weekend.
Citing the unusual feel to this season following the pause back in November for the World Cup, Harry says he and his team-mates are keen to kick on and make this period one to remember for the club.
Captain Harry Maguire discusses the positive atmosphere in the United camp and the strength of our recent form…
“I think it is a strange season to say we’re only halfway, it feels like we’re a bit further on than halfway, but we’re in a good position,” Harry began, speaking to club media.
“We’re in a good position in the league, not where we want to be, but from where we were last year, we’re in a good position.
“We’re in all the cup competitions. We know this club demands wins, it demands trophies, and we’ve given ourselves a good opportunity to take that one step further this year.”
Given our next test in the Premier League takes us to the Emirates Stadium to face current leaders Arsenal, the Reds do have a chance to complete a domestic double over the Gunners this weekend, following our 3-1 success back in September.
Three consecutive cup ties then come in the shape of the FA Cup fourth round against Reading and both legs of our Carabao Cup semi-final versus Nottingham Forest. Maguire insists the team’s sole focus is on winning games of football, one after another.
“I think the fixture list is relentless, you’ve just got to look ahead, the next game is the most important one, win that one and see where it takes you,” Harry added.
”Of course, we want to stay in the competitions as long as we can and finish as high as we can in the Premier League.
”Take each game as it comes, and give ourselves the best opportunity of winning the game.”
