An update on how Town players are performing at their loan clubs

Huddersfield Town currently have 17 players on loan, gaining valuable first-team football experience.

That number includes several Academy Young Terriers who are making an impact at senior level, gaining invaluable exposure to competitive first-team football.

Josh Koroma – Portsmouth FC

Since joining the League One outfit at the end of the transfer window, Koroma has played in all three games and scored his first goal against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday September 17.

Portsmouth have won two games and drawn one since Koroma’s arrival, securing seven points from nine, and they currently sit second in the League One table.

Jacob Chapman – City of Salford

Town’s B-team keeper made his debut for Salford City in the EFL Trophy match against Accrington Stanley, which saw the game end 0-0 and go to penalties.

Chapman kept a clean sheet for the full 90 minutes of the game, then saved two penalties to secure victory and take his team to the next round of the competition.

Kieran Phillips – Morecambe

Phillips started four games for the League One side and scored two goals in five appearances, with his first goal coming on his first League start against Bristol Rovers to put his side ahead.

The striker’s most recent goal came against Forest Green Rovers in the last league game before the international break when he chipped the keeper to put Morecambe level before his team-mate netted the winner in injury time.

Romoney Crichlow – City of Bradford

Despite missing Bradford City’s last game before the international break against Stevenage, Crichlow has been a regular in Mark Hughes’ side.

In the eight appearances he has made so far this season, Crichlow has helped his side keep three clean sheets and the League Two side currently sit in fifth position as they aim to keep pushing forward.

Kyle Hudlin – AFC Wimbledon

Hudlin has featured in AFC Wimbledon’s last three matches after returning from injury, making his first start during the week in their EFL Trophy match against Crawley Town.

The B team striker scored his first goal, and the first goal of the game, in the EFL Trophy match to help them progress to the next round of the competition.

AFC Wimbledon are currently 17th in Sky Bet League Two as Hudlin aims to advance and establish himself as a goalscorer.

Luke Daley – Gateshead FC

The B-team defender recently joined the National League outfit on loan and came straight into the squad, starting his debut in a 1-1 draw against Boreham Wood.

Daley played 67 minutes in his first appearance for Gateshead, who currently sit 22nd in the National League and will be looking to start after the break having won one game and drawn in the last five games.

Giosue Bellagambi – Hyde United

The young shot-stopper has been on loan at Hyde United since the start of the season and has been in net every week for the Northern Premier League side after spending last season at Town focusing on his physical development.

Currently on international duty and making his senior debut for Uganda, the keeper will look to return to his loan club and help push the team higher up the table where they currently sit in fifth place.

Scott High–Rotherham United

The Town midfielder joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan at the start of the 2022/23 season after playing in the first team on a semi-regular basis for the Terriers last season.

High has played eight games this season and is currently in eighth position having won two, drawn two and lost one in the last five games before the international break.

This season is a good chance for the City youngster to get more league minutes under his belt and the regular experience of senior first-team football.

Matty Daly – Town of Harrogate

The first of four youngsters from Town on loan at Harrogate Town, Matty Daly has featured in every game in all competitions so far this season – starting every game except the last two where he came on as a substitute.

Daly has scored two of Harrogate’s six goals this season as the Sulfurites sit 18th in Sky Bet League Two.

Josh Austerfield – Town of Harrogate

The second of four on loan to Harrogate Town, Josh Austerfield has appeared in every game for Harrogate in all competitions apart from one game against Salford City.

The 20-year-old midfielder started the first nine games, alongside his Terrier teammate Matty Daly.

Jaheim Headley – Town of Harrogate

Third of four B Team players on loan to Harrogate Town for the season, Jaheim Headley continues to gain experience at this level.

The defender has started eight consecutive games for Harrogate since the start of the season in all competitions, but has not been included in the squad in the previous three games.

Danny Grant – Town of Harrogate

The last Terrier on loan at Harrogate Town for the season, Danny Grant appeared on the bench three times for Harrogate Town – twice for the Sulphurites.

The 23-year-old midfielder is yet to contribute to the team’s goal tally.

Rolando Aarons – Motherwell FC

Back on loan at Motherwell FC in the Scottish Premiership, where he spent a short spell before the pandemic, Aarons appeared for the team three times as a substitute.

While the striker is currently injured, Motherwell are eighth in the Scottish Premier League.

Ryan Schofield – Hibernian FC

With Scottish Premiership side Hibernian FC, Schofield is on the bench as second-choice keeper behind David Marshall.

Schofield constantly observes first-team football in the Scottish Premier League, ready to step in if asked.

Rarmani Edmonds-Green – Wigan Athletic

After playing regular senior football last season and helping League One side Rotherham United achieve automatic promotion to the Championship, Edmonds-Green recently joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan.

The defender is yet to make an appearance for the Latics and has only been benched once.

Michael Roxburgh – Town of Brighouse

The Academy shot-stopper has been loaned out to the Premier League’s North East Division One side and has started seven games in the net for Brighouse Town.

The team currently sit sixth in the league having won three and drawn in their last five games.

Sam Taylor – Town of Northallerton

Another of our Academy goalkeepers on loan, Sam Taylor has started six games in the net for Northallerton Town.

The Northern League Division 1 side currently sit 19th in the League having won one and drawn two in the last five games.
