The key Liverpool players to get into your squad!

With a new season fast approaching, many fans will have prepared their fantasy football crew.

New signings, players returning from injury and fine pre-season form are all considered when assembling the squad best equipped to claim dominance over any social group in the standings.

Although many will get carried away with new signings and new ideas, several Liverpool players should be ubiquitous in any good team.

To state the obvious, Mohamed Salah is a must despite its high price. The players have £100m to spend on the starting 11 and four substitutes.

Salah alone commands a value of £13m and that may be seen as excessive, but the Egyptian has proven himself in recent seasons.

GW1 Most Captains Players: 1️⃣ Mo Salah – 12 pts 2️⃣ Gabriel Jesus – 2 pts 3️⃣ Harry Kane – 2 pts 4️⃣ Erling Haaland – 13 pts 5️⃣ Son Heung-min – 5 pts Who are you looking to put on the armband for GW2? 🤔 #FPL

The prolific wide man has scored more points than any player in the 2021/22 season with a huge 265 dots raised during the campaign.

Leading the goals and assists charts last season, Salah has earned just as many points.

With a full summer break and a strong pre-season under his belt, Salah is set to continue his goalscoring and playmaking form this season.

He is also listed as a midfielder which means there is more space for even more attacking players within a team.

Not far behind, in third place overall was defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James are in the top 5 best-selling defenders this week 😂 Unfortunately Cucurella too, oops!

Alexander-Arnold is unique in that he earns a lot of his points in fantasy football for his contributions going forward despite being a defender.

Being part of a solid squad means the creative full-back earns plenty of points for the multiple clean sheets his team keeps as well as his high number of assists.

As an alternative to fellow full-back Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson is a very similar asset to Fantasy managers as he contributes almost as much as his team-mate but takes slightly less of the budget.

The Scotland international is guaranteed to start the majority of Premier League games, but he has a very capable back-up in Kostas Tsimikas in case a rotation is needed.

Just a word of advice to all struggling FPL managers, if you pick Kane, Haaland will knock, if you pick Haaland, Kane will knock. If you choose both, the Robertson/Cancelo/Diaz/Saka you sacrificed to get them will all explode. Whatever happens, you are wrong. Good luck today!

For this reason, it would seem more prudent to spend a little more on Alexander-Arnold.

The main problem with Liverpool players is that they are very expensive due to the club’s recent success, but these players are definitely worth the money!

Will any of the mentioned players be part of your team? Or do you have your eyes on someone else on Jurgen Klopp’s side?
