Tulip City United wins, finishes second in Midwest Premier League East

On Saturday night, Tulip City United beat BiH FC 4-1 and ended the 2022 season in second place in the Eastern Conference of the Midwest Premier League. Behind Inter Detroit by one point, but tied with Lansing Commons FC, Tulip City United needed to win by at least two goals to move ahead of LC Robins in the table due to the goal differential tiebreaker.

BiH struck first, scoring a goal in the opening 12 minutes. Jake Lyon managed to level the game when he lit a throw-in from Marxus Lugo and converted. Unfortunately, defender Jared Cromwell had to leave the game after splitting his lip. Before the end of the half, Christian Mendoza-Huynh put the Tulips ahead 2-1 with a clever trick from a lifted ball by Ethan DeWitt.
