Last year, the US Open purse was then a record $57.5 million. However, the total purse only increased by $300,000 from 2020 to 2021. The US Open purse is expected to increase by more than $2.5 million from 2021 to 2022.

How much money does the 2021 US Open winner get?

The men’s and women’s singles champions will each win $2.6 million in 2022. Each received $2.5 million in 2021, so the USTA increased the winner’s share by $100,000.

That said, the prize money has increased across the board for each finishing stage. The second in 2022 will earn $50,000 more than the second in 2021; semi-finalists will win an additional $30,000; and even those who made the initial draw of 128 will win $5,000 more than last year.
