We knew that “Al Weird” Yankovic would not just appear in Lego Star Wars Summer Vacation special, but singing an entirely new song for him. And now that the special has arrived on Disney+ today the full song was also released, and frankly? He reigns.

It’s a short song, but it gives me early Miley Cyrus/Carly Rae Jepsen vibes, and I’m saying it in the best possible way:

“Weird Al” Yankovic – Scarif Beach Party (from “LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation”)

Scarif, if you don’t remember, is the setting for the last act of A thug, the planet Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor and his crew went undercover to steal the Death Star plans, then all died horribly. It’s a weird place for Lego star wars mark to throw a party on the beach, especially since half of the star wars the galaxy seems to be composed of sand planets. But who counts? Here is the official synopsis for the special:

“Looking for a well deserved break from Stormtroopers and TIE fighters, Finn organizes a surprise vacation for his friends Rey, Poe, Rose, Chewie, BB-8, R2-D2 and C-3PO, aboard the very luxurious Galactic Starcruiser, the Halcyon. But Finn’s plan to have one last hurrah together quickly goes awry when he’s separated from the group. While searching for his friends, he encounters three Force ghosts: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Leia Organa, who each share their own unexpected stories of vacations gone wrong, helping him understand that vacations aren’t just about to have fun. ”

Remember, Yankovic plays Vic Vankoh in the special, which I think is still decent star wars Last name but by far, much lower than Yan Kovic.
